Welcome to our Archive of Recent School Events

On Friday 3rd March, we were visited by Steve Anthony, author of books such as: 'The Queen's Handbag' and many more. He worked with our Y1 class and looked at some of the books they created inspired by his texts. To celebrate World Book Day, we also created our very own school book: 'The School's Pet'. Each class wrote a section and Steve read it out to all of the children during assembly. He was really impressed with our work especially the children's use of sophisticated vocabulary!

In February, we held our very own Arts Week which involved the children completing high-quality writing and art work inspired by the book 'The Tin Forest' written by Helen Ward and illustrated by Wayne Anderson. The completed work was used to create a whole school exhibition which can be seen in the photographs below. We invited parents into school to have a look at our Tin Forest. tinForest2.png

Special Christmas Delivery to The Hope Centre Foodbank

Year 5 pupils, Mr Brooks and Miss Smith delivered food parcels to The Hope Centre on Tuesday and met Mike Parr (Ross in  ITV’s Emmerdale) who was helping out for the day at the Foodbank.

Each parcel was weighed before being handed over and we are pleased to say that, from your kind generosity on our Christmas theme dress day, we have donated over 100Kg of food goods to help families over the Christmas period.
